From Southernfootball.com

The Port has maintained its tradition of appointing quality coaches by the arrival of Anthony Cole to Cygnet. Anthony has been a very successful player and coach in his football career and has a strong Cygnet connection by marriage.
From the New Coach Anthony Cole
My football started with the North Hobart Junior footy club in the early 80’s. I played in all grades from the under 9’s right through to the seniors, in which I played over 100 senior games. During my time at North Hobart, I had approx 18 months with the Sydney Swans playing in the reserves. In 1996 I left North Hobart and went to Clarence, and played another 100 + games.
Player Profile:
North Hobart 103 games
1991 Premiership
Clarence 100+ games
1996,97, 2000 Premiership
Other Clubs Sydney Swans
Tassie Devils
Hutchins Coach Premiership 2003

When I read this as a rumour, I thought I was seeing things, and now I have seen it, I still cannot believe it.

So you don't think Cole will be good for Cygnet?

I am betting they won't need him to do much, they will still be a powerhouse.

Will he play at all? Or will he just be coaching?

I am not sure if they have said anything about this yet, I am sure once the footy season starts we will have a fair idea on what he will do. I am assuming he will be a non-playing coach.
