I watched the slaughter at Brighton this week and feel very sorry for the reserves players who seem to have one particular (#7) player who was so lazy and had so little interest in the game that my 5 year olds could have done no worse. Any half decent coach would have benched that player (loafer) for the season, guess it is another indicator of what they think is an acceptable standard of football. Well I am so glad I don't support Brighton!
Congratulations to the Glenorchy players who cared to support their team mates and have a go, that is team footy. |

I know what you mean, I was at that game, and I was stunned to see what was going on, not only the seniors, but the colts aswell.
Every time they got the ball, they would just bomb it long, and when they were running they got cought every time. I would like to see them get better, but that game was pathetic. If Glenorchy had of been playing normal, they would of won by more. -------------------- Kaine

They played like losers, they went out to lose, not to fight and win, but lose. They have accepted the tag 'losers' and don't seem to be fighting hard enough to rid themselves of it. Which is where the laziness comes in. The worst thing is, they are so low on talent, that these players don't need to perform to get a game in the seniors.
It'll be awhile until things change for them. |

Anything can happen in the AFLST, just look at North, they were Premiers last season, and this year missed the finals, and had a very bad season. I wouldn't write them off yet.

Sorry fellas this football set up is an absolute discrace and was only put together in a some what emergency debarcle at the end of 2000.
Brighton were better suited in the old sfl and those people that beleive and continue to repeat Brighton is a growing area as a format to a premier team threat are not thinking along the correct lines. How long does the sfl expect the clubs to put up with a financial burden . |
